Franck Avitabile
J'aurais tellement voulu (live in Marciac, 2019) (video, original video)
In 2019, Franck Avitabile was invited to Marciac to take part in a homage to Michel Petrucciani. He performed "J'aurais tellement voulu", a little-known song that Petrucciani once recorded as a solo piano piece. Avitabile's playing is truly excellent, with rich harmonies and voicings, some cool licks, and even some shred to enjoy!
For the rubato intro, I chose not to indicate any time signature to avoid complicating things too much. When the melody starts, I tried to stay in 3/4 time, but the playing is still rubato!

I tried to figure out the time signature of the melody, it's what sounded the most accurate/easy to read to me!

Is this still jazz? Is it some king kind of classical music? Anyways, it's a rich and complexe piece, with gorgeous harmonies and some wild rhythmic writing.

An amazing piano/drums duo that I discovered on stage. Great composition, two amazing musicians, their energy is infectious!
Les Invisibles (Video)
A very rhythmic tune based on an ostinato, that can be thought of in complex meter or simply in 4/4. Maybe you'll recognise some Monk inside!

Road Trip: I fell in love with this melancholic tune in 7/4. Hope you'll envoy playing it as much as I do!

Nice tune, alternating an atonal riff and a fun latin-feel part !

Tired of always playing the same Bach Prelude in C major? Try this version with its exquisite harmonies!
